Follow these directions to reach the HEPL Annex buildings at Stanford:

*** From HWY 101:

From 101, take the Embarcadero Road exit (West). After about 2 miles,
Embarcadero goes under the railroad tracks, then crosses El Camino.  As
it crosses El Camino, it becomes Galvez St.  Try to be in the left lane
(NOT the left-turn lane) as you cross El Camino, because the road forks
ahead, and you want to take the left fork (if you don't get into the
correct lane and are forced right, don't panic.  Simply turn left at
the signal onto Palm Drive, then turn right onto Campus Drive, and
follow the instructions below).

Turn right off Galvez (or Palm) onto Campus Drive.  At the 6th (5th if
coming from Palm Drive) stop sign, turn left onto Via Ortega.  

---> Via Ortega to the special event parking at HEPL.

Heading south on Via Ortega from Campus Drive West go straight at the
stop sign (Via Pueblo).  You will see a multi-story parking garage on
your right and a parking lot on your left.  Turn left at the fourth
entrance into the parking lot (directly across from the entrance to
the parking garage, at the "I" in "VIA ORTEGA" on the map).

Go straight through the parking lot until you come to a stop sign.
Continue straight at the stop sign, and then turn left into the fenced
parking area that you will see on your left.  This is HEPL Visitor
parking (no pass required) and there should be some parking spots
available.

At the end of the lot (straight ahead as you turn into it) are two
small two-story buildings shown on the map as "A" and "B".  These
buildings are named "Hansen Experimental Physics Laboratory (HEPL)
Annex A" and "Hansen Experimental Physics Laboratory (HEPL) Annex B,"
and contain our group offices. If you get lost, call 723-1505 or
723-8320.

The HEPL Conference Room is in the main HEPL building and is entered
through the courtyard between Annex A and Annex B.


*** From Highway I-280 or SLAC:

Take Sand Hill Road north, down toward the Bay.  Continue past
Alameda de los Pulgas and the construction (winter 2004/5; expect
5 minute delay).  Make a right on Stock Farm Road (there is a light)
and continue to the end of the road.  Make a left on Campus Drive West.
At Via Ortega turn right, there is a stop sign.

Then follow the directions given above beginning at 
"Via Ortega to special event parking at HEPL."
