SOI-MDI Team Meeting
24-26 April 1996
HEPL Conference Room, Stanford University
![-----](http://www-pcd.stanford.edu/gifs/line.red2.gif)
As pointed out earlier, the SOI meetings have several purposes:
- Mission updates.
- "Quarterly" observing priorities
- Review of progress of "Team Science" groups
- Review of progress of more informal working groups,
i.e. more individual efforts.
- Working time for smaller working groups. The larger
groups e.g. inversions and active regions have met
separately but will hopefully have a good presence.
REGISTRATION FEE
A registration fee of $50.00 per person
is payable upon arrival: please make checks payable
to Stanford University.
HOTELS
Please consult the "Places to Stay" list that we have compiled, and make your own
reservations. Be sure to request the Stanford rate.
MAPS
Maps
of the Stanford campus and vicinity are available on the Web.
Unfortunately, our buildings do not appear on these maps!
Locate the long, skinny building marked HEPL. The entrance to
the Conference Room is approximately opposite the Ginzton Lab
courtyard (the open space between the two wings facing HEPL). To
reach the door that enters the Conference Room, you need to pass
between the two HEPL "Annexes," which contain our offices. These
are box-like, two-story buildings that do not appear on this map,
but are close to the main HEPL building, across the road from
Ginzton.
"C" parking is located in the area where the words "Science and
Engineering" appear on the map, as well as in the parking
structure indicated. I will be handing out parking passes on
the first morning of the meeting, outside the Conference Room.
This area of the campus is a construction zone! Serra St. and
Via Palou, as well as one side of Campus Drive, are closed by
construction yards. It will be necessary
for you to take Campus Drive to Via Ortega, and approach the
parking lots from that direction.
