These two functions allow users to set the group ownership of the file(s)
or directories described by
.I pathname
to the groups ``none'' \fI(clrgroup)\fR or ``SOI'' \fI(soigroup)\fR. Users must own the files, but need not be members of these groups to
use these functions.
In fact, the expectation is that there are no members of the group
``none''. Setting group ownership to ``none'' by default for directories is a convenience designed to encourage use of the default \fIumask\f 002. .EX

Gives error messages when used over a mount with proper permissions,
