Description

Intensity of individual filtergrams taken at a variety of the Michelson tuning motor positions (wavelengths) in both normal (``STD'')) mode and `''CAL'' (calibration) mode, in which the front window is imaged on the camers, and binned 2*2 on the camera. The imaging mode is given by the value of the key OBSMODE (or the combination of MDI_CAL1 and MDI_CAL2). (The tuning positions are given by combinations of the keys MDI_MTM1 and MDI_MTM2 (or RLC_MTM1 and RLC_MTM2, or TRG_MTM1 and TRG_MTM2). The images are acquired in linear polarization. The data are acquired as part of regular calibration sequences in order to ascertain the best settings of the tuning motors for the set of filtergrams used in regular observations.

Each detune sequence consists of 10 filtergrams acquired at ~3-second intervals during the ``bottom'' half of each minute, with about 40 sequences run over a course of about 40 min. Each filtergram is uniquely identified by both its T_REC and I_DREC (sequence number within the series) values. These calibration sequences were run approximately monthly.

Coverage / Duty Cycle

These observations were taken only occasionally (approximately monthly) as part of instrument calibration sequences. The number of observations (record counts only) during each mission phase are as follows:

Special Notes

Occcasionally there are two distinct records with the same value of T_REC (which has a 1-second slotting as an index value). The sequence number in the set of detune images taken for the day is thus used as an additional prime key. Such cases occur on 1996.10.01 (one extra record), 1997.05.12 (4), 1997.07.16 (1), 2004.04.09 (1), and 2009 12 15 (1).
