The Instance forms are used to request activities with the flight instrument to be implemented by the MDI operations team. Instances requesting science operations will normally be reviewed and scheduled at the weekly operations planning meeting. Engineering activities may be requested via instance by the MDI engineering team.
The MDI Instrument Anomaly Report (MIAR) is used to report anomalies discovered in the telemetry from the flight instrument. SOHO Operations Change Directive (SOCD) forms are used to request activities that require the support of the SOHO Flight Operations Team (FOT). SOCD forms are intended for the sole use of the MDI operations team at the EOF. Ground System Discrepency Reports (GSDR) are intended to document discrepencies discovered in the performance of the realtime ground support equipment at the EOF, the EGSE software, and any related software used to support the EOF operation. Thus, discrepencies discovered in the released versions of the EGSE software or related IDL software tools are to be reported via GSDRs regardless of where and by whom they are found.
