MDI Limits The two links below contain a list of the FOT limits and the "OPMONITOR" limits. FOT Limits - based on June 10 1997 Procedure M_FL_V_LIM All MDI mnemonics are listed. Off means the procedure specifically turns off that mnemonic's limit check. No entry means the mnemonic is not called out in the procedure and therefore not checked. Limits are checked every update - but the error message will roll off the operators screen in a short time. So, unless the limit is toggling, the violation may not be noticed until the end of the shift when all errors are printed out. There is also a page list all of the limits that the second operator has. The errors do not scroll off the screen for the page, but it is up to the operator how often this is checked. In addition, a smaller set of critical MDI mnemonics is monitored through a configuration monitor check which will alert both operators of an alarm. Currently, MIPWA, M+5PC1N, M+5PC2N, MTOPTS6, and MIAEMTR, are the mnemonics which are monitored with the configuration monitor. This alerts the operator in a different color then the other limits and so may have more of a chance of catching there attention. "OPSMONITOR" runs on MDISAS and sends out a mail message to selected people* if a limit is violated. The program checks all the mnemonics every two minutes and sends out a mail message once per hour if a limit has been violated. *If you are not on the list and would like to be -send a mail message to Joe Covington FOT Limits OPSMONITOR Limits CNF - 25 Aug 97
