* Backups of the most important file systems are done nightly on all 
  computers

* What is backed up each week:

  	mdisas:		/md87, /md86, /md80, and /
  	mdicmd:		/, /md92
  	mditlm:		/, /md70

* The backup scripts are on /var/adm and are called:
	
	mdisas:		sasbackup_v07
	mdicmd:		cmdbackup_v07
	mditlm:		tlmbackup_v02

  and the schedule is printed out near the backup tapes

* The status of the backups are mailed out each night to backups@mdisas

  The status can be gotten at the command line by typing: mt stat

* Tape drives:

	mdisas:		dat
	mdicmd:		x-byte
	mditlm:		dat
