White light images of the corona taken with the LASCO C2 coronagraph on SOHO in January and April 1997. The positions of the UVCS entrance slit are indicated by black lines. The UVCS data were used to place limits on the outflow speeds of oxygen ions in the fast and slow solar wind. The white contours represent the locations in the wind where the ratio between O VI 1032 Angstrom intensity and O VI 1037 Angstrom intensity was equal to 2. This is an approximate diagnostic of where the oxygen outflow speed exceeds 90 to 100 km/sec. (Habbal et al. 1997, Astrophys. J., 489, L103)
