Probing the Sun's Rotation at the Base of the Convection Zone

Goode and Dziembowski

The most important feature in the Sun's internal rotation is the large gradient at the base of the convection zone. Learning the details of this tranisition zone is of crucial importance for understanding the work of dynamo action and the effect of overshooting. We will invert for the equatorial rotation and angular momentum density.
