Abstract / Technical Summary
We propose a study of the dynamics of high degree p-mode oscillations and lower frequency phenomena in the quiet photosphere using k-omega power spectra and phase difference spectra between velocity (v) and intensity (I) perturbations from MDI time series in its high resolution mode.\par The observations should consist of an 8 hour sequence of velocity, line intensity and continuum intensity maps with a square field-of-view of 300" to 400", centered on the quiet sun disk center. Temporal resolution should be 1 minute.
