MDI Data Request

With the assistance of Dr. Craig DeForest,
I yesterday placed an order for the MDI synoptic
magnetograms for the period of 5-12 Jul. 1996. I
am working with Murray Dryer of NOAA/SEL to first
assemble data and then analyse solar observations
(as well as in-situ and geomagnetic data) from the
time of the X-flare on 09Jul96. This material will
be presented at the SOHO Workshop in Oslo. We do
plan a formal paper, but is is not fully defined.
Craig has offered to be available if I have trouble
handling and/or interpreting the MDI data.
