SOI Data Programs - prog:hlh_sp
The data in this program are derived from datasets imported from the
High-l Helioseismometer of the
National Solar Observatory operated at the South Pole by the
Bartol Research Foundation.
These data are the property of the Bartol Research Foundation. Anyone
wishing to use them should contact Dr. Stuart Jefferies...

Available Processing Levels
For a general description of processing levels within the SOI database,
see the SOI Datasets description.
- lev1i:
the calibrated Ca-K filtergrams as provided by the owners
(FITS files, one per image).
Associated Data Series: season
- lev1.5:
Level 1 datasets associated with ancillary data required
for Level 2 processing.
Associated Data Series: same as for Level 1.
- lev2i_bin : The Level 1 data binned into 2*2 pixels and imported
as such.
Associated Data Series: region
- lev2.5_bin : Level 2i_bin datasets associated with ancillary
data required for additional Level 2 processing..

Available Data Series

There is one series for each Austral summer campaign of
observations, generally of 3 or 4 months' duration. Each series is named
from the two calendar years spanned by the summer in question,
YY_YY, e.g. 93_94, 94_95, etc..
Within a series, observations made in each interval of 7 hours' duration
are collected into a data set numbered sequentially,
e.g. 93_94[0], 93_94[1], etc.. Each complete Level 1
data set should normally contain 600 images.
