SOI Data Sets - prog:mdi - Averaged Data
The data in these series are derived from various observations of
the SOI Dynamics Program and Campaigns. The data sets were produced by
and for the Surface Flows Science Team. These data are available for
scientific analysis under the terms of the
SOI data policy.
Available Processing Levels
For a general description of processing levels within the SOI database,
see the SOI Datasets description.
- Level 2 Averaged: Unweighted ``blind'' averages of calibrated
images over various intervals, i.e. without any corrections for
solar rotation or observer motion during the averaging interval. Each
data set contains three image files per averaging interval, a per-pixel
mean, a per-pixel variance, and a per-pixel valid data count. Auxiliary
information is specific to the center of the intended averaging interval,
(not necessarily the central time of valid data when there are missing
images).
