SOI Data Programs - prog:mdi_ground

The data in this program are derived from test observations made with the Michelson Doppler Imager, in various states of development, operating at Lockheed Palo Alto Research Laboratories primarily.

These data are provided strictly for purposes of instrument analysis, testing and software development. In the unlikely event of their suitability for scientific analysis, such use must be approved by the SOI project.

Available Processing Levels

Available Data Series

There is a plethora of data series names, each corresponding to a particular test sequence. The data series names are numbered more or less sequentially, and grouped somewhat arbitrarily into several large collections with 3-letter designations corresponding to the times at which the data were taken. Although the division of the data into these collections is not particularly meaningful, they are preserved here for historical reason and for the sake of restricting the scope of data queries.
