IPVCALC(1)



NAME

     ipvcalc -  calculate MDI velocity from pairs  of  difference
     grams.


SYNOPSIS

     ipvcalc [-qv] [argument= value ...]


DESCRIPTION

     ipvcalc produces Dopplergrams using the onboard "MDI"  algo-
     rithm  for  determining  velocity  from  pairs of difference
     grams containing Sa (I1 - I3) and Sc (I2  -  I4),  where  I1
     through  I4 are intensities measured at nominal filter posi-
     tions of -120 mA, -40 mA, +40 mA,  +120  mA  from  the  Lyot
     filter transmission center, respectively.

     The -q option prints out the list of required arguments  and
     their  default  or environmental values, then quits.  The -v
     option sets verbose mode, redirecting history from stdout to
     stderr.


OPTIONS

     Sa=name             dataset containing Sa (no default)

     Sc=name             dataset containing Sc (no default)

     out=name            output dataset (default: Vobs.fits)

     vtable=name         velocity    lookup    table    (default:
                         /home/soi/tables/VTable.fits)
